Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a 1.0 FTE Anticipated Probationary Special Education Teacher in our Secondary Level Responsive Support Program at our Arlington School for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The Responsive Support Program is for students having difficulty in their traditional classroom setting.
- Through a strengths-based approach, the program focuses on social, emotional and behavior skills using the Dialectal Behavior Skills framework.
- The ideal candidate must be passionate about building meaningful relationships with students and creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Experience working with students who have experienced avoidance, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or behavioral challenges is highly valued. Additionally, the successful candidate must be flexible, collaborative, positive, and committed to helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive both academically and personally.
- Collaboration with teachers of record to support classwork completion and to develop executive functioning skills to foster academic independence.
