- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients navigating the workers' compensation process.
- Coordinate appointments, treatments, and follow-up care for patients, ensuring timely and appropriate scheduling.
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers, employers, and other relevant stakeholders to verify coverage and obtain authorization for treatment.
- Assist patients in completing necessary paperwork and documentation related to their workers' compensation claims.
- Educate patients about their rights and responsibilities under workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff and providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for workers' compensation patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, treatment plans, and insurance documentation.
- Monitor the progress of workers' compensation claims and follow up with insurance companies as needed to resolve issues or delays
- Stay informed about changes and updates in workers' compensation laws, regulations, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in patient care.
**Qualifications:**
1. Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on workers' compensation in pain management
2. Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and processes.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and stakeholders.
4. Proficiency in medical terminology and basic understanding of pain management treatments and procedures.
5. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently as well as part of a team.
