Our childcare center is growing! We are currently a Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) Bronze-rated facility, and we are on an ambitious path to achieve our Gold (5-Star) rating. - Curriculum Leadership: Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS).
- Child Assessment: Conduct formal and informal assessments (such as ASQ or specialized portfolios) to track developmental milestones.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment that encourages student independence and curiosity.
- Family Engagement: Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain daily communication regarding child progress and well-being.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in professional development to meet and exceed SUTQ Gold rating requirements.
To help us reach our Gold rating goals, we are looking for candidates who meet the following:
- Education (Lead): CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) is highly preferred.
- Education (Assistant): High School Diploma/GED required; current enrollment in a CDA program or ECE coursework is a plus.
- OCCRRA Profile: Must have (or be willing to create) an active Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA) profile.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a BCI and FBI criminal background check as required by Ohio law.
- Experience: Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting is preferred; knowledge of SUTQ standards is a significant advantage.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and interact with children at their eye level (sitting, kneeling, or standing).
