Optician / Optical Sales Associate – Express Vision
Express Vision is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Optician/Optical Sales Associate to join our team.
We are seeking someone who enjoys working with patients, has excellent customer service skills, and can help patients confidently select eyewear that meets their visual needs and personal style.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist patients with frame and lens selection
- Take accurate optical measurements
- Adjust and dispense eyeglasses
- Verify and place eyewear orders
- Explain lens options, upgrades, and benefits
- Verify vision insurance benefits and understand optical allowances
- Provide excellent patient/customer service
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front-office duties as needed
- Maintain an organized and professional optical area
- Work collaboratively with doctors and other team members
Qualifications:
- Previous optical/optician experience preferred
- Experience with vision insurance is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with sales and recommending appropriate lens options
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a busy optometry practice
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Position: Full-time or Part-time
Location: Houston, TX
Pay: Competitive and based on experience
