American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on night shift at a Level 2 Trauma Center in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience and an active MO or compact RN license.

7 East Medical Telemetry unit in a 60-bed inpatient hospital setting

Medical patient population with telemetry monitoring needs

Patient ratio of 1:5-6

Equipment used includes bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs

EMR: Epic
-
Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating to similar or lower acuity units as needed
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state license eligible for Missouri endorsement

Current BLS certification from AHA required
-
ACLS certification from AHA preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Med/Surg experience required

Epic EMR experience preferred
-
No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)

Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty, with significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients; push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 15 lbs.

Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center

Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available the entire orientation week

Black scrubs required

Flu vaccination (or Mercy-approved exemption) is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
-
RTO of up to 5 days may be allowed but must be made up during the assignment; only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
-
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a reduced bill rate and are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a minimum 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required

All certifications must be active and not expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
