We are thrilled to have been providing high quality education and community outreach in Somerville for over 45 years. We recently opened a Toddler Center in the Fall of 2024. We will be adding Infants to the ratios in the coming months. Position Overview:
We are seeking full time passionate and experienced Infant andToddler Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to fostering their early development through creative and developmentally appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Provide individualized attention to each child to support their unique needs and interests.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child’s progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude, fostering a love of learning in each child.
Qualifications:
- EEC Infant andToddler Teacher Certified (Required)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Preferred)
- At least one year of experience working with Infants and toddlers in an educational or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
