Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician/Mechanic
Bull One Diesel is a family-owned heavy-duty diesel repair shop located in Converse, TX. We are looking for a dependable diesel technician who takes pride in quality work and wants to be part of a growing team.
We service a wide variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks, including Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Volvo, Mack, and other commercial vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- Perform clutch replacements, wheel seal repairs, brake repairs, kingpin replacements, suspension repairs, and general mechanical repairs.
- Perform engine removal and installation (R&R) as needed.
- Diagnose and repair air brake, steering, suspension, cooling, charging, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Use diagnostic software and scan tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Heavy-duty diesel repair experience preferred.
- Basic diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working on Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Volvo, Mack, or similar commercial trucks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have your own basic mechanic tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CDL is not required.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM
Pay
- $22.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Paid every two weeks.
- Overtime available when needed.
