Purpose of position:
At The Furniture Mall we know that our customers want to be confident and inspiring to others. In order to do that, they need a home that inspires – with furniture that looks fantastic and feels even better.
The problem is, they don’t want to overpay or make a mistake, which makes them feel overwhelmed and nervous that they’ll make the wrong decision or be taken advantage of. We believe furniture shopping should not be this difficult!
We get it, they’re tired of being pressured and overwhelmed with choices. At Furniture Mall of Texas, we don’t believe in high pressure sales either. Which is why, for over 87 years, we’ve built a reputation of turning furniture fear into furniture fun.
Here’s how we do it:
-
Be Our Guest – Cookies, Custard…Oh Yeah!
-
Shop Your Way – We make it easy to get help or browse without pressure.
-
Endless Possibilities. Easy Process.
-
Be Confident You Made The Right Choice At The Right Price.
We want our customers to stop avoiding the thought of inviting people over and feeling uncomfortable in their own home. Instead we can show them how to create a space that finally feels right, makes them smile every time they walk in the door, and love being home.
Pay Structure
Our Furniture Retail Sales Associate pay structure is different in the sense that your pay rate is hourly but it can be just as rewarding if not more than a traditional, commission-based salary. As an hourly employee you have an opportunity to earn between $20-$45.00/ hour. ($41,600 - $93,600 annually) This pay scale is still based on performance, but by converting the pay to hourly it provides a way for our entire sales team to live with a more stable income (consistent, bi-weekly paychecks) resulting in less financial stress and unpredictability.
Benefits
Affordable Healthcare options for all Furniture Retail Sales Associates with a generous employer contribution, Paid Vacation, Amazing Discounts, 401K, and more.
Local, involved ownership
We don’t sit on the beach telling people what to do – We believe that it's important to live and work in Austin along with our team just as we have since the opening of Austin's Couch Potatoes Furniture & Mattress stores.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to use and iPad and many technology platforms such as email, Microsoft office tools, etc.
