-
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in studio/video production, broadcasting, or professional video podcasts, ideally within a newsroom or similar environment.
- Editorial Instincts: Strong news judgment and the ability to speak with subject matter experts to extract “insider” value. Skill in drafting structured outlines and interview questions that guide a complex narrative without losing the audience.
- Technical Familiarity: Experience with podcast-style studio gear (mics, cameras, lighting) and live-switching software (e.g., Riverside).
- Professional Profile: You combine meticulous organization with a journalist’s curiosity. You are a collaborative partner who brings a steadying influence to the studio.
- Industry Interest: Experience with—or at least a strong interest in—national security, geopolitics, and global trade.

Kharon is a highly disruptive and incredibly innovative organization that navigates risk at the intersection of global security threats + international commerce.
What does that mean? Great question.
Operating at the nexus of global security, Kharon is on a mission to revolutionize the current landscape. We take really complex data as it relates to global security and empower our clients to not only understand the risk associated with their potential business relationships but to operationalize that data so that they can make the best and most informed decisions possible. From financial crimes and sanctions to export controls and threat identifications, our tools optimize protection against the types of risks that could otherwise be incredibly dangerous and excessively costly to any business. Serving many of today’s leading global financial and multinational institutions, Kharon products are the most powerful in the space with a precision and depth that is absolutely unparalleled.
When you look at any major global crisis event, we’re providing intelligence that’s at the heart of those circumstances. We connect the dots in a way that’s meaningful. Now, we’re experiencing unprecedented growth. As the world continues to evolve in complexity, so too does the demand for our products. Given the significance of our work and the increasing global reliance on our insights, we are looking for a Senior Live Video Producer to join us as we work to shape the way businesses perceive and navigate global risks.
Reporting to the Director of Content and Strategy, this role sits at the intersection of Kharon’s marketing and news teams, leading the webinar series — an eight-year-old program with more than 300 productions and tens of thousands of viewers a year. The series has established itself as the destination for authoritative analysis of sanctions, export controls, supply chains and investment risk, convening senior government officials alongside the industry's leading practitioners.
For eight years and more than 300 programs, Kharon's webinar series has established itself as the destination for authoritative analysis of sanctions, export controls, supply chains and investment risk — drawing tens of thousands of viewers a year and convening senior government officials alongside the industry's leading practitioners. Now we're leveling up, moving toward a polished, conversational video-podcast format. We're looking for a nimble, creative producer to lead that shift and turn deep intelligence and expert analysis into must-watch programming.
In-house experts, senior government officials and industry leaders are among the resources available, backed by a data and research engine that surfaces stories before they break — and a dedicated audience ready to engage. Few editorial roles offer this kind of foundation.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the next chapter of a program that has earned its place in the industry. As producer, you are the architect of the conversation — not just a technician, but an editorial partner who excels at transforming complex topics into engaging discussions. The right candidate will also play a role in building out a small studio from the ground up — shaping not just the content but the physical and technical infrastructure behind it.
Now the program is evolving toward a polished, conversational video-podcast format, and we’re looking for a nimble, creative producer to lead that shift. You will work at the nexus of risk intelligence and data, collaborating with a small, high-output team that values curiosity, clarity and impact. Top candidates are self-starters who thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative environments.
To the right person, this will be the perfect kind of challenge. Our mission is compelling, our product is powerful, and we’re growing at a rate that makes us unstoppable. If you’re looking to be surrounded by people who will inspire you to think and challenge you to grow then look no further. Our team is made up of some of the most visionary and uncompromising individuals you will ever encounter. We don’t take ourselves seriously but we’re serious about the work we do and there is absolutely no slowing us down.
To keep that momentum going, we do our very best to make sure that each and every team member is completely taken care of. We’re nothing without our people and we strive to offer a package that reflects that. As a Kharon team member, you can expect:
- Fully sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurances
- FSA program for both medical and dependent care
- Long term disability
- 401k + Roth with matching and immediate vesting
- Flexible paid time off + 11 paid holidays
The base salary range at Kharon is set between $110,000-$120,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
