We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our skilled nursing facility team. The Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring adequate staffing coverage to support exceptional resident care while maintaining compliance with facility policies and staffing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain nursing department schedules for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff.
- Coordinate staffing needs, including call-offs, shift swaps, overtime, and agency coverage when necessary.
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure compliance with state regulations and facility standards.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly and professionally to employees and department managers.
- Maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, and staffing records.
- Assist with payroll-related functions, including verifying timecards and attendance records.
- Track and report staffing trends, vacancies, and overtime usage.
- Collaborate with department leaders to anticipate staffing needs and support workforce planning.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information and scheduling data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous scheduling experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or assisted living setting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of staffing requirements in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
- Proficiency with Hosted Time scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and payroll/timekeeping systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
- CNA License
