Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, leasing, and maintenance coordination skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of property management regulations. This role involves managing tenant relations, ensuring property compliance, and maintaining operational efficiency to deliver exceptional service to residents and property owners alike.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple properties, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, and Section 8 requirements
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry, reporting, and record keeping
- Conduct property inspections and oversee facilities management to maintain property standards
- Negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and renewal terms with prospective and current tenants
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to evictions, lease enforcement, and contractual obligations
- Maintain positive customer relationships through excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Upsell additional services or amenities to tenants when appropriate to enhance occupancy rates
- Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and maintenance issues for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, and Fair Housing laws
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and legal administrative procedures
- Excellent conflict management, negotiation skills, and customer service abilities
- Office experience including data entry, filing, and contract management
- Ability to handle property leasing processes effectively and manage tenant relationships professionally
- Facilities management experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as filing and data management
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette
