Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Expeditor/Food Runner to join our culinary team. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication bridge between the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that food is prepared, plated, and delivered efficiently and accurately. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver an outstanding dining experience for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary communicator between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to facilitate smooth service flow
- Ensure all food orders are prepared according to quality standards and promptly delivered to tables or designated areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Verify that dishes are correctly assembled, garnished, and presented before serving
- Buss tables and clear dishes promptly to maintain a clean and organized dining environment
- Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support banquet service by expediting large orders efficiently during events or special functions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation, serving, or bussing is a plus
- Hospitality or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not required
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork
