Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for children. This role involves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, providing them with the support and guidance they need to thrive in their early developmental stages. The Child Care Teacher will play a crucial role in creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social skills, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play.
- Provide attentive care to toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Supervise daily activities, including meals, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
- Stay current with early childhood education best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience in toddler care, nannying, daycare, or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is essential; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is an asset.
