Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and promptly
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables and handling basic food items when needed
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, and storage areas to meet health and safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak hours and special events
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Assist in inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies needed for cleaning or food prep
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with food service operations such as bussing, food handling, or catering is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing work areas
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in fast-paced environments
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service and sanitation
- Experience in banquet settings or hotel kitchens is advantageous but not mandatory
