Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews, to determine appropriate acupuncture treatments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing acupuncture techniques such as trigger point therapy and pain management strategies.
- Perform acupuncture procedures with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Manage acute pain conditions by applying targeted therapies that alleviate discomfort and promote natural healing processes.
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately, track progress, and maintain detailed treatment records.
- Educate patients on the benefits of acupuncture, TCM principles, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing health and wellness goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis clarification and integration of acupuncture into broader treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Acupuncturist with certification in acupuncture and TCM practices.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pain medicine to inform effective treatment strategies.
- Proven experience in acute pain management, trigger point therapy, and physical examinations within a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR management for accurate documentation and patient record keeping.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to direct patient care and education.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform safe physical examinations using aseptic techniques while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety protocols.
