Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GA Pre K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, literacy, math, and social-emotional growth. Your role is vital in creating a positive learning atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. You will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with families, and ensure that every child receives personalized attention to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development focused on literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones and promote social-emotional skills.
- Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and formative assessments; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with special education teams to support children requiring early intervention or individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain clear communication with families regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental needs through regular updates and conferences.
- Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization in compliance with childcare regulations and best practices in daycare settings.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments; prior classroom management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and childhood education methodologies such as Montessori.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and engaging families effectively.
- Certification or credential in early childhood education or related field is highly desirable; ongoing professional development preferred.
