Duties
- Monitor parking areas during overnight hours to ensure compliance with parking regulations and safety protocols
- Enforce parking rules using parking enforcement technology and communicate violations effectively
- Conduct routine patrols on foot to inspect the lot, identify hazards, and maintain security presence
- Assist drivers with basic vehicle issues or directions while ensuring courteous customer service at all times
- Use two-way radio communication to coordinate with team members and respond promptly to incidents or emergencies
- Write clear reports documenting daily activities, violations, incidents, and other relevant observations
- Navigate city streets efficiently to reach different sections of the parking lot and respond quickly to any issues
Skills
- Strong report writing skills for documenting daily activities, violations, and incidents accurately
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely and confidently in various outdoor conditions
- Knowledge of law enforcement principles related to parking enforcement and security procedures
- Basic math skills for calculating fines, tickets, or other related tasks
- Excellent customer service skills to assist visitors courteously and professionally
- Physical stamina for walking extensively outdoors during shifts in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with parking enforcement technology systems for ticketing and monitoring violations
- Experience in outdoor work environments emphasizing security and safety awareness
- Ability to navigate city streets efficiently using maps or GPS devices for timely patrols
- Understanding of parking regulations, signage, and compliance standards
- Effective conflict management skills to handle disputes or difficult situations calmly and professionally
