American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with Labor & Delivery experience, including Cesarean Sections, for a night shift position at a Level IV Trauma hospital in Austin, TX.

Labor & Delivery unit with 12 L&D beds at a Level IV Trauma facility in Austin, TX

Night shift hours: 7P–7A (18:45–07:15)

Scheduled days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

13-week contract assignment

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Scrubs are provided by the facility

NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required
-
BLS certification required from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience

Familiarity with Women's Services, including Cesarean Sections

License required if applicable

US Social Security Number and a valid US home address required

Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

Perform terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including decontamination of furniture, equipment, and air vents
-
Transport case carts, equipment, and supplies, and dispose of hazardous waste per facility policies
-
Monitor and maintain supply inventories at appropriate par levels
-
Provide physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting, and moving as directed by clinical nursing staff
-
Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment

Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required

Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies — candidates living within a certain distance of the facility may be subject to a reduced pay rate
-
COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
