The Financial Aid Specialist performs advanced administrative and operational functions in support of the Financial Aid Office. This position ensures integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of departmental records, systems, and processes while assisting with the facilitation of efficient delivery of financial aid and Workforce Continuing Education (WCE) scholarship services. Through effective management of information, technology, and administrative workflows, the Financial Aid Specialist supports institutional objectives and promotes high-quality service to students and stakeholders.
The Financial Aid Specialist serves as a primary resource for students and families by providing information regarding scholarship opportunities, application procedures, and program requirements. The position supports the administration of WCE scholarship programs through application processing, records maintenance, applicant assistance, and compliance monitoring. Additionally, the role coordinates office workflows, maintains departmental documentation and forms, and contributes to effective service delivery by ensuring adherence to established institutional policies and procedures.
Min Salary $36,520.50 Mid Salary $41,085.57- We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and qualifications related to the job. - Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience Required
- One year of experience in a Financial Aid Office or office management

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution
KSA Required
Proficient use of PC for spreadsheets, word processing, email, and internet.
Skilled in maintaining accurate and auditable financial aid records
Skilled at applying federal, state, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
Ability to readily adjust to change
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit discretion and sound judgment in decision-making
Excellent math skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure
KSA Preferred
Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations preferred
