Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, through evidence-based behavioral interventions. The RBT will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans, promote skill development, and improve overall quality of life. Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, toileting, and feeding, fostering independence.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior during sessions to inform treatment adjustments.
- Support teaching and skill acquisition across various domains, including communication, social skills, and self-care.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and update individualized care plans and behavioral strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure a safe environment for clients by adhering to behavior management protocols and safety procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology to enhance service delivery.
Skills
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Ability to collect precise data and maintain detailed medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Excellent teaching skills with a patient-centered approach to support skill development.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, care plans, and documentation related to behavioral health services.
- Compassionate attitude with the ability to work effectively with individuals requiring specialized care.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
