Job Summary: The Human Resources Intern is responsible for providing general administrative support to the human resources office, with a primary focus on assisting with open enrollment and special projects during the fall semester, as well as providing front desk coverage as needed.
We have two shifts available:
M-F 8:00AM-12:30PM
M-F 12:30PM-5:00PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for organizing and managing physical and digital files, documents, and records. This can include creating new files, labelling and categorizing documents, and ensuring that items are up to date.
Assist with organizing HR documents and disseminating them to employees and managers in all offices.
Assists with open enrollment during the fall benefits enrollment period, including preparing enrollment materials, answering employee questions, and tracking completed forms.
Supports special HR projects throughout the fall semester as assigned.
May provide front desk coverage as needed, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must be Bilingual in Spanish & English.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Must have attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidential information and sign a confidentiality agreement.
Detail-oriented and able to identify errors or discrepancies in data or documents. Should be able to maintain accurate records and ensure that paperwork is complete.
Some knowledge of human resource functions.
Works with little supervision, strong leadership skills, and capability of working with diverse personalities.
Ability to handle stressful situations when they arise and make sound judgements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attendance.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn other programs.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Essential Functions of the Job:
