Position Summary
Emmy's Dream Builders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Multi-Site Program Director to oversee multiple school-based afterschool and youth development programs throughout New York City. The Multi-Site Program Director will provide leadership, supervision, compliance oversight, and operational management to ensure high-quality programming, strong staff performance, and positive outcomes for youth and families.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in youth development, school-age child care, program operations, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and community partnership development.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Child Development, Recreation, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field preferred; OR
- Associate's Degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field; OR
- School-Age Child Care Credential or other Office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period and qualifying experience; OR
- Two years of college with at least eighteen (18) credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience working in afterschool programs, youth development programs, educational settings, or community-based organizations.
- Experience managing multiple sites, programs, or teams preferred.
- Experience supervising Site Directors, Assistant Site Directors, Coordinators, and frontline staff.
- Experience with outreach, recruitment, enrollment management, and family engagement.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing plans, and operational performance goals.
- Knowledge of School-Age Child Care (SACC) licensing and compliance requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DOE), Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), and School-Age Child Care (SACC) regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data, monitor performance metrics, and implement quality improvement plans.
- Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and support site leadership teams.
- Strong relationship-building skills with school administration, families, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, attendance systems, and data management platforms.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical leadership.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple afterschool and youth development sites.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate Site Directors and leadership staff.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure program quality, safety, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all DYCD, DOE, DOH, and organizational requirements.
- Support enrollment, retention, and community outreach efforts.
- Monitor attendance, staffing, budgets, and program performance outcomes.
- Prepare for audits, monitoring visits, and licensing inspections.
- Maintain strong partnerships with principals, school leadership, families, and community stakeholders.
- Assist with strategic planning, program expansion, and organizational growth initiatives.
Required Certifications
Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain:
- Statewide Central Register (SCR) Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Health and Safety Training
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
- Child Abuse Prevention Training
- Anaphylaxis/Epinephrine Administration Training
- Any additional certifications required by DOH, DOE, DYCD, or School-Age Child Care licensing regulations.
