As an Engineer , you are responsible for keeping our guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in excellent repair. You will perform a variety of tasks across multiple trades to ensure an attractive, safe, and well-maintained hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs across various trades, including but not limited to:
Carpentry & Masonry
Plumbing & Electrical
HVAC / Air Conditioning
Painting & Wall Covering
Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests with a friendly and helpful attitude.
Conduct preventative maintenance checks throughout the public spaces and back-of-house areas.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
Punctuality & Reliability: Ability to arrive to work on time and as scheduled.
Physical Demands: Physically able to move large and heavy objects such as carts, boxes, and furniture.
Communication & Arithmetic: Basic English language communication and mathematical skills to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers, fully comprehend job assignments, and perform simple arithmetic functions.
Quality Standards: Ability to learn, follow, and enforce maintenance and repair standards across all guest suites and public areas.
Trade Knowledge: Operational knowledge of maintenance trades, including basic plumbing, painting, mechanical work, and carpentry.
Equipment Proficiency: Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
Safety & Emergency Response: Ability to strictly follow all safety procedures and standards, and the capacity to recognize and act appropriately in emergency situations.
Qualification Standards
Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience: 6 months to 1 year of basic experience in maintenance trades (including plumbing, painting, mechanical, and carpentry).
Licenses or Certifications: Ability to obtain any government-required license or certificate. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
