Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the classroom
- Effective implementation of curriculum
- Write and implement lesson plans according to curriculum and Plainfield Division of Early Childhood (DEC) standards
- Conduct Early Screening Inventory- Revised (ESI-R) to assess children's developmental levels
- Collect anecdotes for children's assessments and maintenance of children's portfolios
- Encourage and support your Associate Teacher with the curriculum and daily routine as needed
- Ensure classroom staff are using best practices according to NAEYC, ECERS, Grow NJ Kids and Plainfield DEC standards
- Foster open communication with families in your class, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly via text messaging, notices, newsletters and parent/teacher conferences
- Interface with Plainfield DEC staff on a continuous and regular basis
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
- Obtainment of NJ Preschool through Third Grade Certification (NJ P-3) Required Process includes:
- Praxis (5025 and/or 5752) Passing Score
- 50 Hour Educator Preparation Program
- 3.0 Grade Point Average
- Previous experience working with children 3 - 5 years
- Ability to communicate with others

- Team Player

Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
