Overview
TA Truck Sales is seeking a highly skilled Senior Diesel Technician to join our growing team. We're looking for an experienced professional who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, experience using OEM diagnostic software, and takes pride in delivering trucks that are reliable and ready to work. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks
- Engine diagnostics and repairs
- Electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Computer diagnostics
- Fuel system repairs
- Cooling system repairs
- Air brake repairs
- Suspension and steering repairs
- Manual and automatic transmission repairs
- Differential and driveline repairs
- Diagnose and repair DPF, DEF, SCR, and EGR systems
- Perform engine overhauls (preferred)
- Install replacement engines
- Test drive trucks before and after repairs
- Ensure every truck is work-ready before delivery
- Complete repair documentation

- Cummins ISX
- Cummins X15
- PACCAR MX-13
- Detroit DD13 / DD15 / DD16
Experience working on:
- Peterbilt
- Kenworth
- Freightliner
- International
- Volvo
Diagnostic Software Experience (Preferred)
- Cummins INSITE
- DAVIE
- Detroit Diagnostic Link (DDL)
- PACCAR DAVIE
- Jaltest
- TEXA
- Noregon
Must be able to:
- Read and interpret fault codes
- Diagnose using live data
- Perform forced regenerations
- Run calibrations
- Perform basic programming
- Diagnose electrical problems
- Read wiring diagrams
- Use a multimeter
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty diesel experience (10+ years preferred)
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Own professional tools
- Valid driver's license
- CDL is a plus
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Able to lift 75 lbs
- Full-time availability
Compensation
- $40–$48 per hour, depending on experience and diagnostic ability
