Solar Sales Representative (Door-to-Door Solar Sales)

Earnings are performance-based and depend on appointments generated, sales completed, and individual performance. Successful representatives have the opportunity to earn substantial commissions up to 20k or more a month, however, earnings are not guaranteed, as it is again based on performance.
Our World Energy is looking for motivated, outgoing, and driven Sales Representatives to join our growing team in Arizona. This is a commission-based opportunity for individuals who enjoy meeting new people, working independently, and building a career in sales.
As a Sales Representative, you'll educate homeowners about residential solar energy solutions, generate qualified appointments, and help customers determine whether a solar program is right for them. We welcome both experienced sales professionals and individuals who are new to sales and willing to learn.
This position primarily involves door-to-door (D2D) sales, with an additional virtual-based opportunity available for applicants who prefer calling leads if we have hiring spots available.
What You'll Be Selling
You'll introduce homeowners to residential solar energy programs, including:
- Solar Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)
- Virtual Power Plant (VPP) programs
- Solar lease options
- Solar purchase options
Your role is to educate homeowners, answer basic questions, qualify interest, and schedule an appointment for the qualified homeowners with a Solar Consultant (Closer) who completes the final consultation and sale.
Responsibilities as a Door-to-Door Sales Representative
- Canvass residential neighborhoods to introduce homeowners to our solar programs.
- Speak with homeowners about available solar options and determine whether they qualify.
- Generate qualified appointments for Solar Consultants.
- Accurately record customer information and appointment details.
- Maintain a professional attitude while representing Our World Energy.
- Work toward personal and team sales goals.
Virtual Appointment Setter
- Contact leads by phone dialer.
- Schedule qualified appointments for Solar Consultants.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during each call.
Compensation - This is a commission-based position. There is no hourly wage or base salary.
50/50 Commission Split
- Receive 50% of the earned commission from each closed sale.
- The assigned Solar Consultant (Closer) receives the remaining 50%.
- (Closers that close their own appointment sets will receive the full commission and get both ends of the 50/50 spilt.)
Example : For setters, if the total commission is 10k, you and the closer will each split and get 5k. For closers who set and close their own deals, you would get the full 10k.
Qualifications
- Sales experience is preferred but not required.
- We provide training for motivated individuals who are eager to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and self-motivation.
- Comfortable speaking with homeowners.
- Reliable transportation is required for door-to-door representatives.
- Backgrounds in athletics, team organizations, customer service, military service, or other leadership roles are a plus, but not required.

Schedule
Flexible scheduling is available. Hours are very flexible, sometimes you can choose to knock doors later in the day at 3pm, or it can be up to you if you want to knock mornings or evenings or both. There is a lot of freedom with this job, as long as you make sure your production is up and you're not taking advantage of the freedom/flexibility.
Schedules can be negotiated to fix your personal needs.
Available Days
- Monday–Friday
- Can work Saturdays if you like
Prime Time Shifts (when most homeowners are home)
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Again, you can make your own hours, these are just the most popular times to get out because homeowners answer the doors more during morning and evening prime time. Mid day tends to be the "dead hours."
