PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Project a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Assist in the registration process and maintain accurate student records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient typing skills
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written instructions
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Experience:
Three years clerical experience in an office setting preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Receive incoming calls and respond to inquiries from staff, parents, and students.
Greet visitors and follow established security procedures.
Assist front office staff with handling student issues and providing information to staff, students, and parents.
Request and send records to other schools. Ensure that all required records have been received.
Assist with registration and withdrawal of students.
Maintain withdrawn student files and paperwork.
Maintain cumulative files and other student files, as required.
Keep test data cards up to date.
Assist Registrar with research and preparation of documents.
Identify special populations and notify the appropriate department.
Ensure that test scores and information for new students are sent to the campus testing coordinator.
Maintain confidentiality.
Other duties assigned at the discretion of campus administration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Personal computer, printer, fax, copier, calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
Reading: ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations, communicate effectively (verbal
and written), highly proficient computer skills, and interpret policies and procedures.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of computer. Be able to lift, carry, pull, push 5 to 25 pounds.
