Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Hotel Engineer/Maintenance Engineer who can troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of hotel building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and guest-room issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general hotel repairs and maintenance throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform carpentry and building repairs, including drywall, plaster, painting, caulking, doors, furniture, and fixtures.
- Install and repair flooring, including tile, vinyl, carpet, and other materials.
- Repair toilets, sinks, showers, faucets, pipes, drains, pumps, and water heaters.
- Maintain and troubleshoot air-conditioning, heating, boilers, pumps, motors, and other hotel equipment.
- Handle basic electrical repairs, including lights, switches, outlets, and fixtures.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep equipment and facilities operating properly.
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment and building systems, and coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a similar position.
- Strong hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, plaster/drywall, and general repairs.
- Able to troubleshoot problems and determine the best solution.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Able to work independently and prioritize multiple requests.
- Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Professional and courteous when interacting with hotel guests.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
