Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Specialist (Days) to join our dynamic logistics and supply chain team. In this role, you will oversee inventory control processes, optimize stock levels, and ensure seamless warehouse operations during daytime shifts. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, data analytics, and supply chain management will be essential in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting procurement activities, and enhancing overall process efficiency. Duties
- Manage daily inventory levels through accurate data collection and analysis using warehouse management software and ERP systems such as AS400 and SAP.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify discrepancies, stock shortages, or excess inventory issues; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize stock replenishment strategies based on demand planning and sales forecasts.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to generate reports on inventory trends, supply chain performance, and warehouse operations.
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including order fulfillment, heavy lifting logistics, and shipping documentation to ensure timely delivery.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy; utilize spreadsheets and SQL queries for detailed data analysis.
- Engage in category management by analyzing merchandising trends and adjusting stocking strategies accordingly.
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing warehouse workflows, implementing best practices, and leveraging warehouse management systems for efficiency.
- Maintain cross-functional communication with sales, logistics, finance, and warehouse teams to streamline operations.
- Assist in financial modeling related to inventory valuation, pricing strategies, and supply chain cost analysis.
Requirements:
- Inventory Control experience in a healthcare setting
- Medical Terminology experience
- Basic Computer Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
