Description:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Machinist with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts per blueprints and specifications. Key duties include machine setup and operation, selecting appropriate tooling, interpreting technical drawings, performing quality checks with precision instruments, and troubleshooting equipment to maintain accuracy. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and the ability to work under moderate supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Blueprint Interpretation – Read and apply technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
- Machine Setup & Operation – Prepare and operate CNC and conventional machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to perform drilling, milling, turning, and boring.
- Tooling & Process Control – Select proper cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments; apply SOPs to maintain close tolerances.
- Quality Assurance – Inspect and verify parts meet specifications using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Troubleshooting – Monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and resolve malfunctions.
- Workplace Safety & Organization – Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of machining experience in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and physical stamina.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and dimensional tolerancing.
- Familiar with CNC programming concepts and use of manual hand tools.
- Knowledge of raw material defects, quality standards, and non-conformance procedures.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook).
- High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent education.
- Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and be physically active for extended periods.
- Lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Work in confined spaces, noisy environments (with PPE), and around manufacturing equipment.
- Visual acuity to read prints and inspect parts; hearing ability to follow instructions in manufacturing settings.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with overhead and jib cranes
- Familiar with forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts
