As a Maintenance Assistant, you play a direct role in serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Facilities Manager to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment for our residents.
Shift:
- Part-time
- 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Every other weekend and holiday requiredQualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with a minimum of 3 months remaining in good standing.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and maintaining janitorial and maintenance equipment including toilets, furniture refinishing, painting, cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and wet/dry vacuuming.
- Performing routine maintenance on electrical systems.
- Purchasing supplies and ordering materials.
- Aiding in the scheduling of services and repairs.
- Coordinating with medical, social workers, nurses, chemist, technicians, and staff to ensure proper screening and diagnosis of clients.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy office space.
- Regularly attending meetings and training sessions which include but are not limited to curriculum and curriculum development and review, case management meetings and community outreach.
- Other duties as assigned.
