Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup effectively.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality and promote a safe clinical environment.Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
