A PATIENT FINANCIAL EDUCATOR EXPLAINS INSURANCE AND COST OF HOSPITAL SERVICES WITH A PATIENT AT THE TIME OF THE SERVICE OR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE. HE/SHE WILL VERIFY INSURANCE, ADDRESS AND AUTHORIZATION FOR SERVICE. THE PATIENT FINANCIAL EDUCATOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISCUSSING WITH THE PATIENT THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROCESS AND/OR COLLECTING ALL OR A PORTION OF THE PATIENT’S RESPONSIBILITY PRIOR TO THE SERVICE.
QUALIFICATIONS:

ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN A BUSINESS OR HEALTHCARE RELATED FIELD.

PREVIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HEALTHCARE, PREFERRED. PAST EXPERIENCE IN COLLECTIONS, PREFERRED EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL REQUIRED

STRONG QUANTITATIVE, ANALYTICAL AND ORGANIZATION SKILLS.
