*We are looking for an experienced outdoor power equipment technician to join the Driggers Small Engines team. Those benefits include: a Healthcare Plan, 401(k) Retirement with Company Match, Employee Discounts, Paid Training, Vacation/PTO and Year-End Bonuses. *What our technicians receive: * - Hourly pay based on experience level plus generous commission - Healthcare plan including vision - Supplemental Benefits: dental, life insurance and short-term disability - 401(k) Retirement plan with company match - Paid company and manufacturer training - Paid Time Off up to 3 weeks available - Employee discounts - 40 hour work week plus overtime opportunities *Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: * - Examine customer equipment. - Identify necessary equipment repairs and maintenance. - Estimate cost of repairs when necessary. - Perform equipment repairs and maintenance. - Document services performed. - Perform services efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. - Request necessary parts. - Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area. - Participate in required trainings. - Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system. - Follow safeguards rules and regulations. - Demonstrate Driggers Small Engines’ core values. - Comply with all company policies and procedures. - Perform any other duties as assigned. *Qualifications: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty well. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with medical conditions to perform the essential functions. *Desired Education: * - High School Diploma or higher *Field of Study/Work Experience: * - Outdoor Power Equipment and/or Tractor Technician *Desired Work Experience: * - 5 years minimum - *Education/experience: * - Thorough knowledge of outdoor power equipment parts and systems. Demonstratable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training and/or commensurate technical experience required. *Computer Skills: * - Basic computer skills to utilize parts look-up and computer inventory systems. *Communication Skills: * - Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate with company personnel. *Attendance Expectations: * - The position requires regular and predictable attendance. *Physical Demands: * - Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand and walk; use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. *Environment Demands: * - Duties are performed primarily in the service area. Work includes movement around equipment, working in various physical positions and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes and other service and repair conditions. Will frequently interact with service advisors and service manager.
