RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities for preschool students.
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development through play-based learning.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
- Help maintain a positive, nurturing, and structured classroom environment.
- Assist students with daily routines including restroom breaks, handwashing, meals, snacks, and nap/rest time.
- Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, and independence using appropriate classroom management techniques.
- Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional supplies as directed by the teacher.
- Observe and report student progress, behaviors, and concerns to the lead teacher.
- Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and sanitizing to maintain a healthy learning environment.
- Support children with transitions between activities and throughout the daily schedule.
- Participate in parent communication as directed by the lead teacher or administration.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Follow all school policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures.
- Provide individualized support to students who may need additional assistance with learning or behavior.
- Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive environment that promotes student confidence and success.
- Perform other duties assigned.
