Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of security and fire alarm systems, demonstrate technical troubleshooting ability, and proved outstanding customer service in both residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities - Requirements & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Apply a working knowledge of how security and fire alarm systems function
- Provide on-site maintenance and technical support for residential and commercial security systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs
- Review installation orders and prepare necessary tools, equipment, and supplies for service or installation
- Install and calibrate security and fire alarm systems, including running cable, pulling wire, and programming equipment in compliance with safety codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate service and installation records
- Support customer satisfaction by resolving technical concerns and responding to service inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company security and non-compete agreement (required)
- Uphold company standards for safety, professionalism, and technical performance
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of related technical or field service experience preferred
- Experience with intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV systems is a plus
- Ability to safely climb ladders up to 24 feet
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Low Voltage, Fire, or Security Systems knowledge preferred but not required
- Proficiency with basic computer software applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Information
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Compensation: $20-$25 per hour (DOE)
- Applicants should be prepared to sign confidentiality and non-compete agreements upon hire
