Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee renewable energy and energy efficiency projects from design through installation and final completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within or under budget, and in alignment with client expectations and company standards.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication skills, technical understanding of solar and energy efficiency systems, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across all phases of project execution.
This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with expected travel of approximately 25–50% depending on project location and construction schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction and design coordination through installation, commissioning, and closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, engineers, utilities, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project execution
- Oversee procurement activities and track material deliveries to support project timelines
- Monitor project costs and financial performance to ensure projects remain within budget
- Conduct regular site visits and construction meetings to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays or cost overruns
- Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, applicable codes, and company quality standards
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and closeout packages
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to leadership and clients
- Support commissioning activities and final turnover to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred
- 3–7+ years of project management experience in renewable energy, construction, energy services, or related industries
- Experience managing commercial or public sector solar PV and/or energy efficiency projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA training or PMP certification is a plus

Pay: $88,801.98 - $106,944.31 per year
