We work in an extremely niche lending area involving manufactured housing. Very similar to real estate mortgages, but much simpler.
FULL TIME
SUMMARY: Fast growing, niche finance company seeks a highly motivated, self-starting individual, with attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple loan files at one time is important, along with organization skills. Sales background and ability to talk easily to clients is a bonus. Training will be provided.
LOCATION: Tinley Park near Harlem Avenue and I-80.
SALARY: Negotiable
PRIMARY
DUTY: Underwrite and process loan applications as they come in. Process loans from approval to closing. Get them closed!
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Analyze credit reports for loan applicants.
2. Calculate Debt to Income ratios for loan applicants.
3. Contact loan applicants to obtain additional information.
4. Clear all loan exceptions by tracking down documents.
5. Prepare loan documents for closings.
6. Schedule closings and facilitate loan closings.
7. Learn consumer underwriting laws and procedures and maintain consistency.
8. Performs such other duties as may be assigned by management.
OTHER DESIRED SKILLS:
1. Ability to get licensed by NMLS and pass criminal background check.
2. Ability to work in a fast paced, highly-detailed environment, with minimal errors.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Strong typing and computer skills.
5. Ability to perform consistently over and over again.
6. Knowledge and experience of mortgage products or lending is preferred.
7. Great attitude, ability to work well with others.
8. Strong background in ability to read tax returns, income documents, and similar.
9. Bachelor Degree or advance degree preferred in accounting or finance.
10. Bank or mortgage experience helpful.
11. Sales experience helpful.
