CLS is looking for an experienced FP&A Coordinator local to Sugar Land, TX for temporary work. The FP&A Coordinator (Temporary) will perform a variety of duties in the FP&A department to assist in the preparation, maintenance, and integrity of the company’s financial data. The primary focus of the position will be updating historical financial data in our ERP or Power BI systems, which may include but is not limited to project data tags, historical revenue and margin information, historical hours metrics, etc. This work will involve managing/organizing large amounts of data in excel, following detailed instructions on how to update the data, pinpointing any variances or formatting issues in the data, and following up with individuals for missing data. Other duties will include various analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and administrative duties as needed. Data-heavy (excel) and formatting-heavy position. Excellent levels of organization and attention to detail required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Updates historical financial data in ERP and Power BI systems. Will include managing multiple files, keeping data organized, transforming data, reviewing data for any variances, updating data to ensure it is consistent and correct, and following up with individuals for missing data as necessary.
Assists in the maintenance of the integrity of project-related data in the system through updates in the ERP system as needed. Some updates are manual (data entry), while others can be completed through imports.
Maintains weekly hours reports submitted by operating companies.
Creates charts, graphs, and ad-hoc reports to aid in the analysis of various financial situations as requested using Deltek Vantagepoint, Excel, or Power BI.
Assists with aspects of the monthly closing process as needed which may include but is not limited to updating sales metrics, safety metrics, and other items TBD.
Assists with annual budget as requested.
Assists with reorganizing FP&A file folders as needed (contacts companies for files that we are missing, formats files, etc).
Excel work to include formatting, formula creation, pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements (minimum and preferred):
Must have 1+ year of FP&A experience
Must be local to Sugar Land, TX.
Must be technologically proficient.
Must be okay with a hybrid schedule
Experience:
Intermediate level excel skills. Ability to create pivot tables from large data sets, perform vlookups. across multiple excel files, sort, filter, etc required.
Comfortable with large sets of data.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, shift focus when needed, and work within a deadline-driven environment.
Good work ethic.
Ability to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision a plus.
