Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Insulation Crew Leader to oversee day-to-day job site operations, lead a small crew, and ensure every retrofit job is completed safely, efficiently, and to code. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows insulation work inside and out and is ready to take ownership of job sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of 2-3 installers on residential retrofit job sites
- Review job specs/work orders and plan daily work sequencing
- Perform and oversee installation of insulation materials
- Conduct job site safety checks and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate with homeowners on-site regarding scope of work and timelines
- Inspect completed work for quality control and code compliance
- Train and mentor entry-level installers
- Track materials, equipment, and job progress; report to management
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and adjust plans as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on insulation installation experience preferred
- Prior experience leading or supervising a crew preferred
- Knowledge of insulation types, R-values, and building codes
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and other tight or physically demanding spaces
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable using hand and power tools, and insulation equipment
Physical requirements — Must be able to lift 35+ pounds, climb ladders, physically tolerate attic conditions, and perform other functions expected of this type of job role.
