American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU (NCCU) position at a prestigious academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience and Epic proficiency.

Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) within a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
-
Patient population includes those with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and nerve and muscle diseases, including many post-operative neurosurgical patients
-
Care requires managing interactions between the brain and other vital organ systems
-
Rotating 12-hour shifts covering both day (7A) and night (7P) rotations
-
36 or 48 hours per week available
-
3 out of every 6 weekends required
-
2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
-
Holiday coverage required as needed
-
Floating required to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC units

Uses Epic EMR (experience required)

13-week contract
-
Active RN license — Maryland license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required

ACLS certification preferred

Critical Care Certification preferred

Trauma course completion preferred

Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Experience in a 500+ bed facility required

Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
