American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care/Echo Cardiac unit requiring cardiac critical care experience and a ND or compact RN license.
-
Acute care hospital setting in the Critical Care/Echo Cardiac/Stress Testing unit
-
Patients seen at bedside in a 2-room unit
-
1:1 nurse to patient ratio
-
Performs Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Cardioversions, with stress testing preferred but not required
-
Uses EPIC and CUPID charting systems, along with Life Pak defibrillator and Accudose equipment
-
Monday through Friday day shift, 8.5 hours per day
-
Staff with stress testing experience will rotate through weekend call, averaging one weekend per month plus holidays
-
No floating to other units or departments
-
Active ND or compact RN license required
-
Current ACLS and BLS certification (AHA) required

Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience, cardiac experience preferred
-
Comfortable administering conscious sedation and recovering patients post-procedure

Strong assessment skills and experience with rhythm interpretation

EPIC EMR experience
-
Participate in an average of 8 TEEs and/or Cardioversions per day

Collaborate closely with charge nurse and providers

Scan approximately 40 patients daily, running both magnets into the evening

Brief unit orientation provided
-
Required to wear Sanford Navy Blue scrubs

Holiday coverage required as part of weekend/holiday rotation for stress testing-qualified staff

Cannot accept candidates living within 60 miles of the facility

Local travel rate applies for candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility
