Join Opportunities Unlimited as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) settings. No experience? No problem—we provide paid training!
What You’ll Do (Caregiver / DSP Responsibilities)
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Support individuals in Supported Community Living (SCL) environments
- Assist with community integration—appointments, jobs, social events, and recreational activities
- Follow person-centered service plans to help individuals reach their goals
- Provide behavioral support and promote independence
- Complete daily documentation and charting in compliance with Iowa HCBS standards
- Administer medications
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to pass background checks
- Experience in caregiving, CNA, PCA, or healthcare is a plus—but not required
