Langdale Forest Products is a modern lumber manufacturing facility that primarily produces dimensional (2") lumber. Internal departments include the Sawmill, Continuous Dry Kilns, a Planer Mill, Shipping, Maintenance, Electrical and Fabrication Departments. Our production capacity is around 200 MMBF/year. JOB DESCRIPTION
Local Truck Driver Night Shift
Responsible for transporting wood residue to appointed destination.
1. Operates tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Performs daily preventive maintenance and light mechanical duties as needed on tractor-trailer.
3. Responsible for loading and unloading wood residue trailers.
4. Performs necessary steps to connect tractor to trailer.
5. Responsible for netting and tarping loads as needed.
6. Transports wood residue to appointed destination.
7. Responsible for load and/or truck being weighed before leaving and upon return to the plant.
8. Records wood residue shipments made each day.
9. Responsible for making sure delivery ticket is signed and returned to appropriate persons at the Company.
10. Responsible for being present and on time for work each day.
11. Performs any and al additional duties as required by management.
*Must possess current and valid Commercial Driver's License.
*Ability to read and write.
*Commercial driving experience.
*Must complete written Department of Transportation examination for certification.
*Good verbal and written skills.
*Good vision and hearing skills.
*Substantial sitting required.
*Must be able to climb on top of load and in to truck
*Ability to lift a 50 - 100 pound tarp.
*Must be able to exert pressure on tension bar to tighten straps in order to secure load.
*Must successfully pass Department of Transportation physical examination requirements.

Pay: $19.94 - $20.68 per hour
