A professional CNC programmer/supervisor machinist position at Golfco International at our production facility in Redmond, WA.
Must be able to program, setup and operate/supervise operators of 3-axis CNC mills and multi-axis lathes and screw machines with live tooling.
Golfco International is a growing manufacturer of unique replacement parts (primarily rollers) for mowers and other equipment used by top tier golf courses and sports fields around the world. We produce almost all components of our roller product lines in our facility in Redmond, WA.
We are looking for a professional programming machinist to produce open cavity molds and replacement parts used in production of our polyurethane roller bodies. Programming includes assisting with CAD drawings and developing CAM programs. We will also need help with efficient improvement of designs for parts and molds.
In addition to programming for all CNC equipment, the position also entails management and supervision of machining production operations including efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment. We currently have 6 production staff including a shop foreman that is familiar with all products and able to help manage day-to-day operations.
Materials used in production of molds and parts include steel DOM tubing and bars, aluminum and cast polyurethane.
We have 5 CNC turning centers, 2 CNC milling centers, an automatic horizontal band saw, a meter-mix machine for casting polyurethane and other collateral production and support equipment including 1 manual lathe, 1 manual mill, 2 air compressors and a TIG welder.
The CNC milling centers are used for making molds and components parts for use in our polyurethane casting operation. The CNC turning centers are used for production of various parts for rollers, primarily shafts and tubes.
Our CNC machines are as follows:
1 Ganesh 52CSY2 modified (no bushing) multi-axis screw machine with high pressure coolant (new)
1 Ganesh TTMY-52 CNC turning and milling lathe with twin spindles, twin turrets with live tooling and Y axis in all tool positions (Mitsubishi controller) (5 years old)
1 Ganesh GTS-52 CNC turning lathe with twin spindles and dual parallel tooling cross slides and high pressure coolant (Mitsubishi controller) (2 years old)
2 Takisawa CNC 2 axis lathes with single turret and single spindle (Fanuc 21TB controllers)
1 new Genmill 4024 CNC milling center with tool and part probe (Mitsubishi M830 controller)
1 Shizuoka 4024 CNC milling center (Fanuc 18i controller)
Candidates are encouraged to be proficient with SolidWorks and at least one CAM program. Programmers will be required to generate and maintain electronic and printed documentation for all parts and molds including drawings of all components and setup procedures and tooling lists for production. Management and purchasing of tooling inventory and mold making materials is also required.
All employees must be able to work independently without constant supervision to keep the machines operating properly and producing high quality parts on a timely basis, contribute to safe working conditions and environments for all employees and help improve organization and cleanliness of the shop. All employees must be able to collaborate with team members to help where and when needed to ensure efficient operations for the business activities.
