Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management.
- Support staff training and development to ensure high standards of food safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Manage shift schedules, supervise team members, and ensure smooth workflow during busy hours.
- Monitor inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels; handle food ordering and supplies management.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, kitchen cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control measures, and maintaining overall restaurant profitability.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
- Support kitchen management in food production, culinary standards, and maintaining quality consistency across all menu items.
- Participate in interviewing potential team members and contribute to hiring decisions to build a strong staff team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training & development capabilities.
- Knowledge of inventory control, food management, and kitchen operations within the food industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shifts effectively.
- Experience in hospitality management including customer service excellence and restaurant operations.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
