Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing skills in surveillance, conflict management, and law enforcement to prevent loss and ensure the safety of all individuals on-site.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the premises.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment for security breaches.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or gather information.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations for management review.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role preferred; military or law enforcement background is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment including CCTV systems.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid armed security license as required by state regulations.
