The Assistant Kitchen Manager assists the Kitchen Manager in all kitchen operations and oversight of the Restaurant Culinary operations. Assuring kitchen cleanliness, assuring kitchen employees are meeting health dept standards, checking food inventories, and preparing lists for executive chef to order on a daily basis, seeing that each menu item is prepared according to company standards, checks inventory for needed supplies.
Supports the Kitchen Manager in training kitchen staff and maintaining high standards for food preparation and kitchen operations. Ensures all deliveries are accurate, verifies orders upon arrival, and confirms products are stored properly according to company guidelines. Addresses and resolves any order discrepancies promptly with vendors. Oversees kitchen staff and dishwashers in the absence of the Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Salary: $22 to $25 per hour based on experience.
