Job Description:
CNC Operator – Laser, Plasma, Tube & sheet Cutter
Pay Range:
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a CNC Operator to run and maintain a various laser and plasma CNC machines, including Rotary Tube Pipe Cutter, Sheet Laser, & Tube Laser. This role involves operating CNC equipment, using CAM software to prepare cutting files, setting up materials, and producing accurate, high-quality parts. Training is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Rotary Tube Plasma , Sheet Laser, Tube Laser and various other metal working / cutting machines and tools
- Use CAM software to load, review, and run cutting programs
- Import and work with CAD files (DXF, STEP, NC1)
- Set up material, zero the machine, and verify cut paths
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all shop safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating CNC machinery (tube/pipe cutting preferred)
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (CAMALOT experience a plus, but not required)
- Forklift experience prefered (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn proprietary CNC software and equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Training Provided:
- CAM-A-LOT software operation
- JD Squared XR-12 machine setup and operation
- File setup, machine zeroing, and job execution
- Safety procedures and best practices
Work Environment:
- Fabrication / manufacturing shop
- Standing, lifting, and working around machinery required
