Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
- Customize massage sessions based on client preferences and physiological considerations, ensuring optimal results.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client feedback, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Educate clients on self-care practices, post-treatment recommendations, and injury prevention strategies.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and maintaining equipment.
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education requirements such as CPR certification.
Skills
- Exceptional patient service skills with a focus on active listening and empathetic communication.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Proven experience with various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical spa treatments.
- Ability to assess client needs accurately through patient assessment techniques and adapt treatments accordingly.
- Excellent client communication skills to explain procedures clearly and build trust.
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and occupational health considerations for diverse populations.
- Certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist in accordance with state regulations; CPR certification is required.
